La preghiera di Dante
Quando la selva oscura piombò dinanzi a me
e tutti i sentieri furono smarriti,
quando i preti dell’orgoglio dicono che non c’è altra via
ho solcato dolori di pietra.
Io non avevo credevo perché non potevo vedere,
sebbene tu fossi venuto da me nella notte:
quando l’alba sembrava perduta per sempre,
mi mostrasti il tuo amore nella luce delle stelle.
Stendi i tuoi occhi sull’oceano
stendi la tua anima sul mare,
quando la notte oscura sembra senza fine
ti prego, ricordati di me.
Quindi la montagna si innalzò davanti a me
attraverso il profondo pozzo del desiderio
dalla fontana del perdono
oltre il ghiaccio e il fuoco.

Per quanto condividiamo questo umile sentiero, siamo soli
